One of the ways we are reaching out and doing something about the injustices we see in the world around us is through our Compassion child sponsorship. In July 2007 we began sponsoring Sembatya Godfrey. In July of 2009 we began sponsoring Carolyne Tsenga. For $75 a month we are able to play a part in providing food, education, healthcare, and spiritual instruction for Sembatya and Carolyne. We also chose to contribute an additional $16 a month to Compassions HIV/AIDS Response. That money is being used to help stop the spread of the AIDS epidemic. Through our sponsorship with Compassion, we are able to write and send letters to Sembatya and Carolyne as well as receive letters from them. We look forward to seeing what God is going to do in and through their lives.
